I have been working as an Integrative, Person-Centered Counsellor since 2020. Alongside my Chrysalis Counselling qualification, I have completed training in safeguarding, online and telephone counselling, and child and adolescent mental health. I am currently expanding my knowledge in CBT, DBT, PTSD, postnatal stress disorder, and eating disorders.
My experience includes supporting clients who have:
• lost a child through tragedy, miscarriage, or choice
• survived controlling and coercive relationships
• felt overwhelmed by life and need help finding balance
As an integrative counsellor, I tailor each session to the individual, drawing on a range of counselling theories. Together, we identify what clients wish to change and develop a practical plan to support growth and wellbeing.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with families and young people, beginning in nurseries where I gained insight into diverse family needs. My work and travel abroad broadened my understanding of people and cultures. Later, as a tutor for adults, I taught about human growth and development.
My experience as a childminder and foster carer deepened my understanding of how mental health impacts families and inspired my move into counselling.
I have worked with The Daisy Programme, supporting survivors of coercive relationships, and with Time Norfolk, helping parents through child loss. In private practice, I support families of children with SEND and clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety, and low self-esteem.
