Unfortunately, the effects of grief can impact our personal and professional lives, but everybody is different, and we all experience bereavement in our own way.
Whether you’re coming to terms with a sudden and unexpected loss or perhaps navigating the end of a long-term illness, grief can be isolating and debilitating. Some people have overwhelming feelings of sadness and sorrow at their loss, while others may experience anxiety, guilt or even anger towards themselves or others. Sensations of loneliness, confusion, numbness or shock are also very common. Physically, you might notice tiredness or exhaustion, as well as headaches, tension, changes to your appetite or sleep patterns, or difficulty with concentration and memory.
Although you may want to withdraw, online grief and bereavement counselling is an effective way to manage your feelings and start the process of accepting and coping with your loss.
Seeking online counselling for bereavement is a proven and effective way to process your feelings of loss. Because they’re flexible, online grief counselling sessions can be booked when you need them, and our fully-qualified therapists can offer a range of therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), or traumatic and complicated grief therapies, depending on what works for you
Online counselling for bereavement focuses on exploring and understanding your grief, so you can reframe it and develop a range of coping strategies for when times get tough. There is no right way to grieve, or for how long, but talking therapy can give you the discreet, safe and empathetic space to talk to someone who understands what you’re going through.
